PARENTS
Fraternities provide men a place in college where they can grow not only educationally but also socially, professionally, and personally.
What will my son gain from joining Chi Phi?
Chi Phi provides college men with a lifelong experience that builds character, strong values, and friendship. Brothers have unique opportunities not available to all college students (like alumni networking, volunteering, resume building, philanthropy participation)
Another valuable benefit gained from joining Chi Phi is a vast network of Alumni who have already forged paths in a variety of subjects and careers. From lawyers to doctors, CEO's to professional athletes, Chi Phi has an extremely diverse and well supported network who are available for contact.
A final benefit is leadership experience. Chi Phi makes a point to recruit only the top students, and as such your child will be in an excellent position to excel to top leadership positions within the fraternity. Top companies and businesses as well as post secondary education institutions look for leadership experience in prospective employers and/or students. Holding a position and further the fraternity as well as oneself is invaluable when it comes time to graduate and enter the workforce, or to move onto more specialized education.
ABSOLUTELY NOT!Our founding fathers recolonized Chi Phi to be everything they wanted from the fraternity system at Illinois without the negatives. Hazing segregates, demoralizes, affects academic performance, and destroys the bond of brotherhood. It has NO place in Chi Phi. We will also never allow fraternity events or activities to interfere with academic performance - our members are held to high educational standards.
Let's hope it gets good ones soon!
